Medifast Inc. — Website Development & CMS Implementation

Overview: Medifast Inc. partnered with a creative agency to redesign its corporate website. While the design phase was underway, only select pages and key layouts had been completed, leaving the overall website design unfinished. The project remained stalled for over a year due to the challenge of finding a development partner who could effectively translate the existing designs into a cohesive, fully functional, production-ready website while completing the remaining design work.

I was brought in to lead the development of the project and turn the approved designs into a fast, scalable, and self-manageable website experience.

The Challenge: The primary challenge was not simply building a website — it was delivering a pixel-perfect implementation of a complex design system while ensuring:

• The final website matched the original designs exactly
• The experience felt smooth and modern with fluid animations
• The site performed well across all devices
• The platform remained SEO-friendly and optimized for speed
• Internal teams could independently manage and update content without relying on developers

The project required both strong development execution and strategic technical decision-making.

My Role: I led the full development process from architecture planning to implementation. Because of my background in both design and development, I was able to bridge the gap between the creative vision and technical execution. I selected the right CMS and development tools that would allow the site to be flexible, scalable, easy to maintain and editor-friendly for the Medifast team. I worked closely with stakeholders to ensure every interaction, layout and animation reflected the original design intent.

The Solution: Within less than three months, I successfully developed and launched the new Medifast Inc. website. Key highlights of the implementation included:

• Pixel-Perfect Development: Every page was carefully developed to align precisely with the approved designs, ensuring visual consistency across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
• Dynamic & Fluid Animations: Interactive animations and transitions were implemented to create a modern, engaging user experience while maintaining performance.

Self-Service CMS: One of the most important goals was enabling the Medifast team to manage content independently. I structured the CMS in a way that made page editing, content updates, and future expansion simple and intuitive for non-technical users.

Results: The final result was a high-performance corporate website that successfully transformed static designs into a polished digital experience. Most importantly, the project moved from over a year of inactivity to a fully launched website in under three months.
